We suggest that you talk to your airline about taking your pet as part of your baggage. Some airlines offer cost-effective baggage rates. If it is not available, Pet Express can help.
If you are not traveling with your pet:
If you have your own cage and do not require pickup or delivery, it is unlikely that Pet Express will be cheaper than the cargo tariffs offered by the airlines. When calculating your price, we take the airlines normal cargo prices for pets and add a Management Fee to coordinate your pet/s transport. Most people have many questions about transporting their pets, and this Management Fee covers the time we spend making bookings, mailing necessary information to you, and providing you with the advice you need to make sure your pet’s transport is as safe & stress-free as possible.
In many cases, connecting flights with different airlines may be required, and we may need to coordinate more than one flight & transfer your pets between airlines.
If the cheapest price rather than professional service is your objective, you may prefer to arrange the flight yourself. If so, just remember that airlines specialize in transporting passengers and general cargo, and only a few specialize in transporting pets so please ensure that you do your research.
